Our North Carolina Farm

Circle Ridge Farms is a family-owned permaculture farm in Albemarle, North Carolina, that grows high-quality small-batch freeze-dried flowers and herbs. We cultivate our herbs using regenerative practices that respect the earth by minimizing waste and maximizing resource recycling, and supporting biodiversity to ensure the long-term health of the farm ecosystem. We are grateful to share our high-quality freeze-dried herbs with DIY enthusiasts, crafters, soapmakers, and homesteaders across the US through our website.

Our Practices

We utilize permaculture techniques that mimic the natural ecosystem while working toward a closed-loop system. By mimicking natural systems and recycling resources, our closed-loop permaculture herb farm is more resilient, productive, and sustainable.

Freeze drying is our preferred method of preservation over traditional drying methods because it’s a gentler process that results in herbs that are more like fresh-picked than air-dried versions.
